Housing Industry Association Chief Economist, Tim Reardon states that “Certainly the six-month timeframe from when the contract is signed to the commencement acts as a significant constraint on the number of projects that will be built this year. Typically, we would see a domestic home completed within seven months. This year, that’s probably going to stretch out closer to nine months.”
